Of course, maybe we need some alternative fuel for our bodies too, as most of the above stuff isn't good for us.

For a one-time investment you can get a ceramic British Berkefeld water filter (see http://www.2000biz.com/food/berkefeld.htm , for instance, though there might be better prices) that will last for life--we've had it for six years now with the original filters. You can run creek water through this puppy and its drinkable.

That and non-concentrate fruit juices occassionally , are good personal fueling.

As far as vehicle fuel goes, my money's on biodiesel . (See http://biodiesel.org )
